Informazioni cliniche

L’atopia è una predisposizione genetica a reazioni di ipersensibilità allergica che possono avere varie manifestazioni cliniche. Gli allergeni responsabili della reazione entrano in contatto con l’organismo attraverso l’aria e le mucose (nel caso di allergie inalatorie) o tramite ingewstione di cibo (nel caso di allergie alimentari).

Diagnostica

Sono disponibili diversi profili atopici (EUROLINE) per la determinazione di allergie a sensibilizzazioni multiple. Questi consentono la determinazione simultanea di anticorpi umani IgE presenti nel siero o nel plasma contro i più frequenti allergeni inalanti e alimentari. Sono dispoibili, inoltre, profili atopici per ciascun Paese sviluppati a seconda delle caratteristiche di esposizione agli allergeni regionali.

La concentrazione totale di IgE nel siero può essere determinate utilizzando il test ELISA IgE totali.
